How do I install and run Enhaims Assist?
Windows
Download the
EnhaimsAssist.exe
file.Double-click to launch, no installation required.
If prompted by User Account Control, click Allow.
(Optional) Click Install (left sidebar) to enable background access for future sessions.
Once open, share your Session ID with your Enhaims support technician.
macOS
Download the
EnhaimsAssist.dmg
file.Drag the app into your Applications folder.
On first launch, if macOS blocks it:
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security.
Click Open Anyway.
The app will prompt you to enable required permissions:

Once permissions are enabled, share your Session ID with the support technician.
Linux
Enhaims Assist supports a variety of Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Manjaro, and openSUSE.
Download the suitable
.deb
package for your system.To install, open a terminal and run:
sudo dpkg -i EnhaimsAssist.deb
If there are missing dependencies, run:
sudo apt-get install -f
Once installed, launch the app from your system menu or by typing
enhaims-assist
in the terminal.Note: Enhaims Assist does not currently support Wayland for incoming connections. If you’re using Wayland, the app will notify you and may offer the option to switch to X11 for full remote control functionality.
Share your Session ID with your Enhaims support technician.
What are the minimum system requirements?
Windows – Windows 7 (32bit or 64bit) or newer
macOS – macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or newer
Linux – Ubuntu 18.04 or newer, Debian 9 or newer, CentOS 7 or newer, openSUSE 42/15
Do I need to configure my firewall for Enhaims Assist?
In most cases, no changes are needed. However, if you’re behind a strict firewall, make sure the following are allowed:
Required for normal internet use:
TCP Ports: 80 and 443
UDP Ports: 49152–65535
For LAN or direct IP connections only:
TCP Port: 21118 (must be allowed on the receiving device only)
