A mid-sized healthcare provider with 80 employees and 25 remote offices, this organization plays a critical role in delivering regional medical services. Previously reliant on outdated DOS-based applications and paper records, their technology infrastructure had become a bottleneck, hindering productivity and compliance. Without any internal IT personnel, they sought a trusted partner to modernize their systems and enable future-ready operations.

The Chalange
With no in-house technical expertise and infrastructure that hadn’t evolved in decades, the healthcare group was struggling to maintain operational efficiency. Staff relied heavily on fax machines, paper-based workflows, and personal email accounts, putting sensitive patient data at serious risk and failing to meet industry compliance standards.
The organization’s existing technology stack included a DOS-based medical system, with scattered and insecure communication channels. This setup caused frequent disruptions, made record management cumbersome, and left the group vulnerable to security threats. The goal was clear: they needed a full-scale IT modernization, without compromising uptime or accessibility across their 25 offices.
What Did
Enhaims Do?
Enhaims began by implementing a new Small Business Server environment, migrating the outdated DOS system to a secure Windows-based platform. We also introduced centralized email hosting, replacing all personal email use with secure domain-based emails to ensure regulatory compliance.
To support distributed operations, Enhaims deployed updated hardware and infrastructure to 25 satellite offices, enabling email integration, file sharing, and cloud-based scanning workflows. In tandem, we executed backup and disaster recovery planning and installed real-time system monitoring across all locations.
As the client’s software ecosystem evolved, Enhaims migrated them to Office 365 for enterprise-grade communication and later transitioned their full infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, ensuring the client could adapt quickly to remote work demands and reduce on-premise risks—all while maintaining uninterrupted care services.
