An educational institution based in New South Wales, Australia, aimed to modernize its testing process in response to upcoming curriculum changes in Enterprise Computing and Software Engineering. The organization required a secure, adaptable, and scalable system to manage online exams, accommodate remote learning, and align with new educational standards.

Uptime for remote sessions under varied network conditions
Increase in grading efficiency with automated tools
The Chalange
In light of the 2023 implementation of new computing syllabi across New South Wales, the client needed an advanced online exam system that could replace traditional paper-based assessments. This shift aimed to ensure alignment with the new standards for Enterprise Computing and Software Engineering, empowering students to become the next generation of tech experts.
However, implementing such a system introduced several challenges:
The solution had to support both remote and offline exam sessions with high reliability.
It needed to guarantee security and data protection for students’ personal information and exam results.
Teachers and administrators required real-time training and intuitive controls.
Examiners needed detailed analytics and grading automation to evaluate performance effectively.
The client sought a customizable platform that would adapt to these evolving needs while being user-friendly and secure.
What Did
Enhaims Do?
Enhaims customized its white label exam platform, Examarius, to meet the specific needs of the Australian education system. We developed a modular web application featuring three distinct user roles, Super Admin, Examiner, and Student, ensuring secure access and seamless interaction.
Administrators were empowered with tools to manage organizations, configure scoring systems, assign roles, and monitor overall exam activity. We implemented user management features and dashboards using advanced JavaScript widgets to streamline navigation and control.
Instructors (Examiners) received a powerful Test Builder to create custom exams with dynamic question types such as diagrams, IDEs, spreadsheets, and more. Automated grading and manual review workflows were supported, while analytics dashboards provided clear insight into student performance and exam integrity.
For students, we ensured a focused, distraction-free experience. Exams featured randomized questions and answers, timed sessions, and real-time feedback. Students could view grades, receive instructor comments, and securely access results through their dashboards.
To support broad accessibility, we included multi-language support, real-time notifications, and reporting features. All data could be exported in PDF format, enabling easy offline review.
